One person is being treated at a hospital in Springfield after being shot early Monday afternoon on the parking lot of the McDonald’s near Battlefield and Kansas Expressway.
Police say the victim is suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Officers closed part of westbound traffic on Battlefield while they investigated the incident, which occurred around 1:00 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say a suspect vehicle has been identified, and was seen headed north on Kansas Expressway.
