If you were asked the question … what is one ground rule if you were to marry your spouse again? … do you know how you’d answer?  I’d marry Don Louzader again in a heartbeat because he’s an incredibly wonderful man!  However, if I’d known exactly how much he loves “collecting” and keeping everything, I mean everything, I think I would have said, let’s get married and live in separate places LOL!  Don loves statistics, Cardinals baseball and any landmark sporting event.  I can prove this as he has every paper, printout, VHS, DVD, cassette, and all supporting materials in hand.  A few years ago, I had to have a chat with him about the fact the garage was NOT going to get any larger. After truly realizing this, Don Louzader got himself a 20X10 storage unit.  Now, if I can just add some chores to his To Do List!  Again, can you answer the question?

If you listen to the show you’ve probably heard me talking about my dogs, Bam Bam, Snoop and Doc. They are totally part of the family and we adopted all three from Rescue One. All this month (April) Justice Jewelers is donating 10% of their jewelry sales to support local, non profit, no kill shelters. I love this! I’ll be at Justice Jewelers Saturday April 27 from noon to 2pm. Come by and say hi if you’re in the neighborhood. Mother’s Day and graduation are coming up so you might want to stop by and take a look. BTW, they have some beautiful jewelry on sale for 25% off so… you can do some shopping and help out our local animal shelters at the same time. There is nothing like deciding to escape for a while! The movie theatre is such a great place to do this! You can go by yourself, with someone, with a group. You can go morning, mid-day or night time! You walk in, the smell of the popcorn is divine. You get comfy in your seat … maybe order a meal … and, it’s time to settle back for some old fashioned Hollywood big screen magic! Whether the movie was good or bad (preferably good), my day is BETTER for having been in the MOVIE THEATRE!

May 3rd = FALL GUY – Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Hannah Wadingham) about a stuntman who leaves the movie business and gets drawn back in

May 10^th = KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

May 17th = IF – Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Steve Carell … this written and directed by Krasinski about a girl who develops an imaginary friend

It’s true. A guy in Montana was just driving down the road and came across an elephant taking a walk. That’s something you don’t see everyday. It turns out, the elephant had escaped the circus. This led us to discuss unusual animals in places where you normally don’t find them. For instance, I saw a roadrunner in the Battlefield Mall parking lot once. I’d never seen one except on Bugs bunny. I didn’t know any roadrunners were in Missouri.

Listeners called in with some pretty interesting stories. Barbara also saw an elephant walking down the road in Lebanon. She said that one was with the circus too. Another person once saw a red convertible cruising down Glenstone with a chimpanzee in the back seat. Yet another was in Alaska and was trapped in an outhouse for 7 hours by a moose! We got bears. cows, a sloth, a mountain lion and more. What out of place animal did you run into?

You know how somewhere right about HUMP DAY it ramps up!  Then, you have Friday EVE (aka Thursday).  Then, that TIME is here… FRIDAY … the weekend weather forecast is nothing short of INCREDIBLE full of sunny blue skies!  You get your work done and break free.  What is happening, it’s not even 9pm and I’m passing out on the couch, I’ve not even done anything awesome or productive.  Ok, Saturday, I’ll take a bite out of Saturday.  Wake up, do some fitness, some family things, some church, and maybe a movie.  Starting to relax and unwind!  Then Sunday creeps in quickly reminding me the work week starts tomorrow AND it’s chore day to boot … the list is long … the clock is ticking 1,000 MPH … it’s evaporating like water on a hot Summer day.  And, now it’s over!  What happened?  Does it feel like a cruel twist that time meant for rejuvenation feels like the shortest blink EVER!

The Eclipse of 2024 was fun.  The Eclipse of 2017 was incredible!  That day in August brought me the most amazing cat.  I was at Opfer Communications-Video Production company at the time.  We were in the back parking lot have a pizza party for the festivities, when we heard a horrible wailing noise.  Out came the most adorable kitten.  Opfer staff went through the proper searches to see if he was missing.  7 years later, Eclipse is still the Opfer studio COOL cat.  I often reference the “best kitty in the world” and that I have “partial custody of him” as I stop by Opfer at least once a month for a visit lol.  Over the last 7 years, he’s been the most fun cat.  He runs Opfer!  He has the place to roam AND HIDE!  There are 3 other “cat moms” that jump in on his care and we just love this little furball.   Work pets are cool and Eclipse is one of the coolest!  Who wouldn’t save THIS little face?
