Porno for Pyros to Reschedule Reunion Tour Dates: ‘We’ve Pushed the Tour a Few Months’

Porno for Pyros postponed the tour that was scheduled to kick off next weekend, on Oct. 8.

“We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years, and are anxious to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you,” said a statement from the Perry Farrell-fronted band on Instagram Friday (Sept. 29). “Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music – that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows. Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time.”

“So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished. Listen up for the new music in the upcoming weeks and keep an eye out for new tour dates. We’re coming!” the update said.

In July, Farrell said that the band would regroup for their first tour in 25 years for an outing they called Horns, Thorns En Halos. The Jane’s Addiction singer and Lollapalooza co-founder’s announcement included 21 dates. The tour would have run from Oct. 8 to Nov. 20.

Porno for Pyros formed in 1992 following Jane’s Addiction’s first split. The group released two studio albums, their 1993 self-titled debut and 1996’s Good God’s Urge. The band’s “Pets” was featured on their debut, and “Tahitian Moon” was on their sophomore release. They went on hiatus in 1998 and briefly reunited in 2009 for Farrell’s 50th birthday, and then again in 2020 for that year’s Lollapalooza YouTube show during the COVID-19 pandemic. The reunion tour would have followed a small handful of performances in 2022.

Megan Thee Stallion Ushers in October With a Pumpkin on Her Head Again

It’s October, which means it’s time for Megan Thee Stallion — with a carved pumpkin on her head and a (pumpkin spice?) latte in hand — to welcome the spooky season.

The rapper casually posed for Instagram selfies on Sunday (Oct. 1). Her fit: a cozy space dye cardigan paired with a jack o’lantern covering her face.

Megan’s Hotties know that wearing a pumpkin on her head has become a beloved October tradition. See her pumpkin photos from 2022 and 2021.

“Every October I look forward to Megan’s iconic pumpkin shenanigans,” one Instagram follower commented on Sunday, while another pointed out, “The hotties do spooky season the best.”

“My favorite time of year,” Meg captioned her 2023 pics in her Instagram Stories.

Megan has “Bongos” out with Cardi B now and is currently prepping new music, recently telling Billboard that “it’s definitely coming very soon. I’m really excited about this chapter of my life because I feel like I’m finally closing all the old chapters, and now I’m starting with a blank slate. Very fresh, very new. I think Thee Hotties are gonna be so excited. I’m trying different things.” She added, “Just expect the unexpected. Expect a lot of rawness, a lot of realness, a lot of s— talking. Just know I’m coming and I hope everybody ready.”

Fans Choose Jung Kook & Jack Harlow’s ‘3D’ as This Week’s Favorite New Music

Jung Kook’s “3D,” featuring Jack Harlow, has topped this week’s new music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Sept. 29) on Billboard, choosing the team-up between the BTS member and Louisville rapper as their favorite new music release of the past week.

“3D” brought in 62% of the vote, beating out new music by *NSYNC (“Better Place”), Ed Sheeran (Autumn Variations), the Rolling Stones featuring Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder (“Sweet Sounds of Heaven”), PinkPantheress (“Mosquito”), and others.

“3D” is Jung Kook’s second solo single, following his Latto-assisted “Seven,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The K-pop star has yet to set a release date for a solo album, but he continues to drum up anticipation with “3D.” On the pop-R&B track, the vocalist recalls the solo material of 2000s-era Justin Timberlake, with its clicky rhythms and open spaces for intricate choreo. Meanwhile, Harlow flexes his skills with the ladies in the cheeky line, “I’m on my Jung Kook/ Take a chick off one look.”

Trailing behind “3D” on the poll is *NSYNC’s first track in more than 20 years, “Better Place,” which is set to appear in the new movie Trolls Band Together. The exciting reunion from ’90s boybanders brought in nearly 36% of the vote. Sheeran’s fall-themed Autumn Variations album placed third on the poll with almost 1% of the vote.
