Here Are the Lyrics to Toosii’s ‘Favorite Song’

Toosii enjoyed his first top five on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with “Favorite Song,” that has skyrocketed into viral success.

The rapper/singer (real name: Nau’Jour Grainger), from Syracuse, N.Y., first appeared on a Billboard chart in February 2020, when his set Platinum Heart debuted at No. 3 on Heatseekers Albums, before reaching No. 1 seven months later. The set hit No. 196 on the Billboard 200 that June, marking his first entry on the ranking.

If you need a guide to follow along with Toosii’s “Favorite Song,” find the lyrics below:

(But nobody’s gonna make you change)
(What you probably don’t like anyway)
(‘Bout you darling, so you might as well, mm)
(Be somebody who can make you face)
(What you’re guarding)
(Open up the gates where your heart is)
(And just let yourself, mm)
(Yo, ADELSO on this)

Yeah, I’m on the stage right now
Singin’ your favorite song
Look in the crowd
And you’re nowhere to be found as they sing along
I say you look good without no makeup
No lashes, even better when you wake up
Uh-uh-uh

I see the look on your face
I see you hidin’ the hate
I see you lookin’ for someone to scoop you right off of your feet
You wanna ride in a Wraith
You wanna go out on dates
You want somebody to come bring you flowers
Someone to talk to for hours
Wash your back while y’all sit in the shower, yeah
Someone to tell you, “You’re beautiful”
Someone to tell you and mean it
Someone to tell you, “I love you” every day
And don’t got a reason
You want someone to bring you peace, uh
Someone to help you sleep, yeah
Someone to pick you up when you’re feelin’ down, feelin’ lonely

Need somebody who can make it better
Somebody who can open up those gates
Open up those gates to your heart
Only if you’ll let me

I’m on the stage right now
Singin’ your favorite song
Look in the crowd
And you’re nowhere to be found as they sing along
I say you look good without no makeup
No lashes even better when you wake up
Uh-uh-uh

I see the look on your face
I see you lookin’ for peace
I see you tired of the hurt
Tired of the pain
Tired of the nights where you can’t get no sleep
I see you’re tired thinkin’ ’bout if he cheat
See you’re tired thinkin’ ’bout if you leavin’
See you’re tired of bein’ so tired
And you damn sure ain’t gettin’ even

Need somebody
Who can make it better
Somebody
Who can open up those gates
Open up those gates to your heart
Only if you’ll let me

I’m on the stage right now
Singin’ your favorite song
Look in the crowd
And you’re nowhere to be found as they sing along
I say you look good without no makeup
No lashes even better when you wake up
Uh-uh-uh

(But nobody’s gonna make you change)
(What you probably don’t like anyway)
(‘Bout you darling, so you might as well, mm)
(Be somebody who can make you face)
(What you’re guarding)
(Open up the gates where your heart is)
(And just let yourself, mm)

Here Are the Lyrics to Taylor Swift’s ‘Karma’ Feat. Ice Spice

When Taylor Swift unveiled Midnights (Til Dawn Edition), she surprised fans with a remix of “Karma” featuring Ice Spice.

“I had been listening to her nonstop, like getting ready for my [Eras] tour, I was just listening to Ice Spice constantly,” revealed the “Anti-Hero” singer of how the collaboration came about. “So I immediately got her number and said, ‘Hey, would you wanna do your version of ‘Karma’? Do you relate to this?’ So she jumped in headfirst.”

If you need a guide to follow along with Taylor Swift and Ice Spice’s “Karma,” find the lyrics below:

Swift and Ice Spice” data-lyric-title=”Karma”>Karma is that girl, like (grrah)

You’re talkin’ s— for the hell of it
Addicted to betrayal, but you’re relevant
You’re terrified to look down
‘Cause if you dare, you’ll see the glare
Of everyone you burned just to get there
It’s comin’ back around

And I keep my side of the street clean
You wouldn’t know what I mean

‘Cause karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma’s a relaxing thought
Aren’t you envious that for you it’s not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap ’cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that

Karma is your check’s ’boutta bounce (damn)
Karma is the fire in your house (grrah)
And she ’boutta pop up unannounced (like)
And she never leavin’ you alone (damn)
Watch her put ya opps on a throne (damn)
Got you wavin’ pretty white flags, fiendin’ for that cash
Thinkin’ it’ll save ya
Now you switchin’ up your behavior
It’s okay, baby
You ain’t gotta worry, karma never gets lazy
So I keep my head up, my bread up, I won’t let up (never)
Promise that you’ll never endeavor with none lesser (ever, ever)
I be draggin’ that wagon
Karma is a beauty winnin’ that pageant (grrah)

‘Cause karma is my boyfriend (damn)
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma’s a relaxing thought
Aren’t you envious that for you it’s not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap ’cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that (grrah)

Ask me what I learned from all those years
Ask me what I earned from all those tears
Ask me why so many fade
But I’m still here (I’m still here, I’m still here)

‘Cause karma is the thunder
Rattling your ground
Karma’s on your scent like a bounty hunter
And karma’s gonna track you down
Step by step, from town to town
Sweet like justice, karma is a queen
Karma takes all my friends to the summit (facts)
Karma is the guy on the screen
Comin’ straight home to me

‘Cause karma is my boyfriend (karma is my boyfriend)
Karma is a god (damn)
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend (weekend)
Karma’s a relaxing thought
Aren’t you envious that for you it’s not?
Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap ’cause it loves me
Flexing like a goddamn acrobat
Me and karma vibe like that

Karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is my bestie
Karma’s a relaxing thought
Karma’s gonna hold you down

Here Are the Lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” sunk its teeth into the Billboard Hot 100 dated July 15, 2023, debuting atop the chart.

The track follows Hot 100 hits “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U” in 2021, both of which also launched at No. 1. “Vampire” serves as the lead single from Rodrigo’s upcoming sophomore album GUTS, due out Sept. 8, and since “Drivers License” introduced her first project, Sour, she becomes the first artist ever to debut the lead singles from two career-opening albums at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

If you need a guide to follow along with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire,” find the lyrics below:

Hate to give the satisfaction asking how you’re doing now
How’s the castle built off people you pretend to care about?
Just what you wanted
Look at you, cool guy, you got it
I see the parties and the diamonds sometimes when I close my eyes
Six months of torture you sold as some forbidden paradise
I loved you truly
You gotta laugh at the stupidity

‘Cause I’ve made some real big mistakes
But you make the worst one look fine
I should’ve known it was strange
You only come out at night
I used to think I was smart
But you made me look so naïve
The way you sold me for parts
As you sunk your teeth into me, oh
Bloodsucker, famef—er
Bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire

And every girl I ever talked to told me you were bad, bad news
You called them crazy, God, I hate the way I called them crazy too
You’re so convincing
How do you lie without flinching?
(How do you lie? How do you lie? How do you lie?)
Oh, what a mesmerizing, paralyzing, f—ed up little thrill
Can’t figure out just how you do it and God knows I never will
Went for me and not her
‘Cause girls your age know better

I’ve made some real big mistakes
But you make the worst one look fine
I should’ve known it was strange
You only come out at night
I used to think I was smart
But you made me look so naïve
The way you sold me for parts
As you sunk your teeth into me, oh
Bloodsucker, famef—er
Bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire

You said it was true love, but wouldn’t that be hard?
You can’t love anyone, ’cause that would mean you had a heart
I tried to help you out, now I know that I can’t
‘Cause how you think’s the kind of thing I’ll never understand

I’ve made some real big mistakes
But you make the worst one look fine
I should’ve known it was strange
You only come out at night
I used to think I was smart
But you made me look so naïve
The way you sold me for parts
As you sunk your teeth into me, oh
Bloodsucker, famef—er
Bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports Signs Deal With Italy’s Series A Soccer League

Jay-Z is expanding his sports roster. The rapper and businessman’s Roc Nation Sports announced on social media on Monday (July 10) that it has landed a deal with Italy’s Series A soccer league.

The “strategic partnership” between the two aims to grow the Italian league in North America by engaging in existing fans and recruiting new ones via digital content as well as activations and events, per Deadline. Roc Nation and Series A have had a working relationship since 2019.

“We are super excited to help Serie A expand its brand throughout America while helping to develop meaningful commercial partnerships along with enhanced brand visibility that will lead to continued growth for one of the world’s premier football leagues,” said Michael Yormark, president of Roc Nation Sports.

Back in October, Forbes writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg revealed Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists list on his Zogblog, sharing that Jay-Z remains atop the list as rap’s only certified billionaire.

Greenburg estimated Jay’s fortune has increased to a whopping $1.5 billion thanks to a diversified portfolio that includes investments in everything from music (Roc Nation entertainment) to real estate, spirits (Armand de Brignac champagne) and startups including Rihanna’s wildly successful Savage X Fenty brand.

Taylor Swift’s Re-Recorded ‘Speak Now’ Already Has 2023’s Biggest Week After 4 Days of Release

Taylor Swift’s third re-recorded album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), has earned over 575,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first four days of release (July 7-10), according to initial reports to Luminate — marking the biggest week for any album in 2023. Of that sum, album sales comprise over 400,000 copies – the largest sales week for an album this year, too.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is a re-recorded version of Swift’s 2010 No. 1 Billboard 200 studio album Speak Now. The 22-track re-recorded edition includes new recordings of the original album’s 14 standard tracks, along with bonus cuts and previously unreleased “From the Vault” recordings. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) follows Swift’s re-recorded Red and Fearless albums, released in 2021. Both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

If Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) debuts at No. 1 on the July 22-dated Billboard 200 chart (which reflects the tracking week ending July 13), Swift’s count of No. 1 albums will rise to 12, surpassing Barbra Streisand (with 11 leaders) for the most No. 1 albums among female artists. Swift would also tie Drake for the third-most No. 1s among all acts, with only The Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (14) ahead of them. (The Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in March 1956.) The top 10 of the July 22-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be announced on Sunday, July 16.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.

2023’s previous largest week, by equivalent album units earned, was tallied by Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time, which launched with 501,000 units in the week ending March 9, as reflected on the Billboard 200 chart dated March 18. The year’s largest sales week was held by the debut frame of Stray Kids’ 5-STAR with 235,000 copies sold in the week ending June 8, as reflected on the June 17-dated charts.

Sales: With over 400,000 sold in only four days, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) already has the largest sales week for any album since Swift’s own last studio album, Midnights, debuted with 1.14 million copies sold last year (week ending Oct. 27, 2022; as reflected on the Nov. 5-dated Billboard charts).

Vinyl sales comprise over half of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’s sales – as the three-LP set has sold over 225,000 copies on wax. The latter marks the second-largest sales week for a vinyl album in the modern era (since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991). It is second only to the first week of Midnights’ vinyl LP, with 575,000 sold in its opening frame. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is available in three color variants on vinyl – orchid marbled, violet marbled and a Target-exclusive lilac marbled color.

The remainder of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) sales is comprised of CDs, digital album download purchases and cassette tape sales.

Streaming: The collected 22 songs on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) generated more than 200 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. July 7-10, according to Luminate. The most-streamed tune on the album, by audio on-demand official streams, is the “from the vault” cut “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version),” with over 13 million on-demand official audio streams in those four tracking days.

SZA’s ‘Snooze’ Rules Rhythmic Radio, Hits No. 2 on Hot R&B Songs Chart

SZA achieves her fourth No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart as “Snooze” ascends from the runner-up rank to lead the list dated July 15. Despite a 1% decline in plays for the last tracking week (June 30 – July 6), the single became the week’s most played song on U.S. monitored rhythmic radio stations, according to Luminate.

“Snooze” dethrones Lil Durk’s “All My Life,” featuring J. Cole, which falls to No. 2 (down 4% in plays) after two weeks on top. Ironically, and cementing just how strong the two songs at radio, the pair conduct a reverse switch on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, where “All My Life” advances to No. 1 and replaces “Snooze” after the latter’s two-week stay. (The Rhythmic Airplay chart measures the most-played songs on the rhythmic radio format, an effective middle ground between pop and R&B/hip-hop genres, while the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart ranks the most-played songs at R&B/hip-hop stations.)

Related

With “Snooze,” SZA logs her fourth Rhythmic Airplay No. 1. She first reigned through a featured role on Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More,” a two-week champ in 2021, and notched her second and third leaders with “I Hate U” (one week, 2022) and “Kill Bill” (three weeks, 2023).

Elsewhere, “Snooze” wins a third week atop the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which ranks songs by combined audience totals from both adult R&B and mainstream R&B/hip-hop radio stations. There, it remains in command despite a 9% slide to 17.9 million in audience. On Pop Airplay, “Snooze” retreats 15-16 but improved 6% in plays at mainstream top-40 stations in the latest tracking week. With strong support from the rhythmic and R&B/hip-hop formats, and progress at pop radio, “Snooze” holds at its No. 8 peak thus far on the all-genre Radio Songs chart, although it shed 4% in radio audience to reach 52.5 million.

Radio gains, in turn, help “Snooze” climb to a No. 2 best rank on the Hot R&B Songs chart, which blends radio airplay with sales and streaming data for its calculations. As the song advances from No. 3, SZA occupies the chart’s top two slots. Above “Snooze,” the singer-songwriter’s juggernaut hit “Kill Bill” dominates for a 29th week.
