A man from Morgan County is now awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of a dozen sex crime charges.
Investigators say Gilbert Silvey repeatedly abused the child until they finally came forward in 2018, telling another adult.
The jury found Silvey guilty on 12 charges, including:
- Two counts- Statutory Rape
- Four counts- Statutory Sodomy
- Six counts- Incest
He had previously served five years in prison for child molestation.
Silvey faces three life sentences for his crimes, plus another 72 years in prison.
