MSU Construction Project Nearly Doubles in Price

The pedestrian tunnel at Missouri State University is etting closer to opening, almost a year later than expected.

MSU President Clif Smart says flooding delayed the project and crews found sewer and utility lines that nobody knew about.

Smart says the original estimated cost was 3.8 million, but price increases and delays pushed the cost to 6.6 million.

The pedestrian tunnel is expected to open in mid-May.
