Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” (via Columbia) is sowing the seeds for a second week atop the U.K. chart.
Based on midweek sales and streaming data captured by the Official Charts Company, “Flowers” is “storming” ahead of its rivals.
If it holds its ground, “Flowers” would become the U.S. pop star’s longest-reigning U.K. No. 1, and her only single to spend multiple weeks at the summit. Her previous leaders “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball” both logged single stints at No. 1 back in 2013.
“Flowers” got away to a fast start around the globe, smashing Spotify’s one-week streaming record, and bowing at No. 1 in Australia.
In the U.K., “Flowers” leads an unchanged top 5 on the midweek chart, which is completed by singles from Raye, SZA, Taylor Swift, and Venbee & Goddard, respectively.
Meanwhile, hot Afrobeats artist Rema is eying a new peak position with “Calm Down” (Mavin), up 9-6 on the Official Chart Update, while Tiësto and Tate McRae’s “10:35” (up 17-14 via Atlantic/Ministry of Sound) and Cian Ducrot’s “I Will Be Waiting” (up 23-19) are on the climb.
The highest new entry on the forthcoming Official U.K. Singles Chart could belong to Headie One, with “Martin’s Sofa” (Relentless) on track for a No. 9 debut. If it stays put, “Martin’s Sofa” would give the London rapper and songwriter a fifth U.K. top 10 and 13th top 40 appearance.
The only other new arrival in the midweek top 40 belongs to Ed Sheeran, with “F64” (Atlantic), the Brit’s tribute to his friend Jamal Edwards, the late founder of SBTV, who died in Feb. 2022 from cardiac arrhythmia after taking recreational drugs, aged 31.
“F64” is on target for a No. 33 start, which would give Sheeran his 58th top 40 hit.
All will be revealed when the national weekly chart is published this Friday (Jan. 27).
The Reytons could ride all the way to No. 1 in the U.K. with What’s Rock And Roll? (via The Reytons), the British indie band’s third LP.
Formed in South Yorkshire, the Reytons take pole position on the midweek survey and, assuming the album continues to reach fans in the second half of the chart week, should set a new career-best performance.
The group previously cracked the top 40 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart with May Seriously Harm You And Others Around (No. 27) and Kids Off The Estate (No. 11), both from 2021.
It’s not the only rock album rolling to a top 5 berth. Black Star Riders are racing to No. 2 with Wrong Side Of Paradise (Earache), the band’s fifth studio album. Featuring several members of Thin Lizzy, Black Star Riders bagged top 40 appearances with each of their previous four LPs: 2013’s All Hell Breaks Loose (No. 25), 2015’s The Killer Instinct (No. 13), 2017’s Heavy Fire (No. 6) and 2019’s Another State Of Grace (No. 14).
Meanwhile, 2021 Eurovision winners Måneskin are tracking for a first-ever U.K. top 10 album with Rush (Columbia). It’s new at No. 3 on the Official Chart Update.
The rockers — Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Ethan Torchio and Thomas Raggi — made history when, in June 2021, they landed two singles in the U.K. top 10 (“I Wanna Be Your Slave” and the cover “Beggin’”), becoming the first Italian act to do so. Måneskin previously impacted the Official U.K. Albums Chart with Teatro d’ira – Vol. I (No. 49), also from 2021.
Also eyeing a top 10 debut is Dublin outfit The Murder Capital, with Gigi’s Recovery (Human Season). It’s new at No. 7 on the chart blast. Meanwhile, recordings from electronic-leaning outfit Ladytron (Time’s Arrow at No. 17 via Cooking Vinyl), metal act Riverside (ID.Entity at No. 22 via Inside Out), Welsh artist and Velvet Underground founding member John Cale (Mercy at No. 37 via Double Six), and NYC rock band We Are Scientists (Lobes at No. 38 via 100 Percent Records) are set to make a splash.
All will be revealed when the Official U.K. Albums Chart is published Friday (Jan. 27).
Not only did Paris Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2023 menswear shows include more representation than ever from South Korea, but its stars also helped set the tone as ongoing evidence of the country’s importance in luxury fashion.
Opening PFW on Jan. 17, 2023, Saint Laurent delivered a show consisting of sleek trench coats and oversize blouses in its signature black and white color palette, with many looks boasting low cuts and ample skin shown despite the cold weather in Paris. Attendees included SEVENTEEN‘s Jeonghan, LØREN and TEN of NCT and WayV, who all embraced the night’s attitude, with the former two draped in chic coats while TEN bared his chest with a V-cut nearly down to his midriff.

After being named Givenchy’s newest global ambassador, Taeyang of BIGBANG returned to Paris again after last attending a show for the fashion house in 2014. With Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams’ collection detailed by distressed elements, plus layered hoodies and jackets, Taeyang’s tattered sweater and acid-washed jeans were all perfectly in line at the Jan. 18 showing.
BTS‘ Jimin took his new role as Dior’s global ambassador seriously with a crisp gray suit, while his bandmate J-Hope donned a dark-gray skirt-pant combo. Both looks beautifully matched the theme of elevated classics that Dior men’s artistic director Kim Jones brought to the runway on Jan. 20.
Elsewhere throughout the city of love, KARD‘s BM looked like he could have been part of Kenzo’s colorful Jan. 20 showcase with his vest, scarf and hat combo. Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton global ambassador Jackson Wang’s silhouette-lengthening jacket and J-Hope’s colorful camouflage both hit the mark in Vuitton’s unconventional show that included a performance from Rosalía on Jan. 19.
With more representation than ever, stars from the K-pop world took over the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week with multiple head-turning moments made just from the first week of menswear shows for the Fall/Winter 2023 season.
One of the earlier shows this year, Saint Laurent on Jan. 17, 2023, had a double dose of boy-band power as SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and TEN of NCT and WayV made their Fashion Week debuts, seated alongside Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, Billboard Hot 100 hitmakers Conan Gray and Steve Lacy, as well as Korean singer-songwriter (and BLACKPINK collaborator) LØREN.
The Jan. 20 Dior Homme show was graced not only by the fashion house’s new global brand ambassador Jimin, but his bandmate J-Hope, who sat front row with the likes of Naomi Campbell and J Balvin. Afterward, Jimin told fans via Weverse that he was less nervous and could immerse himself at his first fashion show because of J-Hope’s presence. Undoubtedly, the Jack in the Box rapper brought comfort and confidence after taking over PFW, strutting through several menswear shows throughout the week, including Louis Vuitton and Hermes shows during his first Fashion Week.
Another star making multiple stops through Paris was BM of KARD. After previously walking a Milan Fashion Week, the Korean-American rapper (aka Big Matthew) is no stranger to the fashion world and attended shows for Loewe, Kenzo and Sacai during his return to Paris Fashion Week.
That’s just the start of the K-pop star power making appearances for the menswear half for the Fall/Winter 2023 season for Paris Fashion Week. See below for all the stylish looks from members of BTS, SEVENTEEN, NCT, KARD, BIGBANG, GOT7, SF9 and more.

Baby Rasta earns his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart thanks to “Punto 40,” his collaboration with Rauw Alejandro, which rises to the top on the Jan. 28-dated ranking.

Nearly a year after giving birth to her son with Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner revealed this weekend that he’s named Aire Webster — and now she’s letting fans know how to pronounce the unique name too.
“Do you think it’s pronounced air or airey?” one Instagram fan account asked of the moniker, which means “Lion of God” in Hebrew. Well, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul decided to drop into the comments section to officially set the record straight. “AIR,” she wrote in all caps with a single red-heart emoji.

The big reveal earned the tot plenty of famous fans, with everyone from Rosalía and SZA to Chloe Bailey and Hailey Bieber cooing over him in the comments section on Jenner’s post.
Upon his February 2022 birth, Jenner and Scott originally announced their son would be named Wolf but retracted the decision weeks later after thinking it over. (“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore,” the Kardashians star wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”)
In November, Aire’s famous dad was enlisted by pal Future to direct the music video for his newest single “712PM.”
Check out Jenner’s lesson on how to pronounce Aire in the Instagram post below.
Stevie Nicks has some big plans for 2023. “Surprise!” Nicks wrote on Instagram, sharing the official tour poster — a photo of her in a black top hat and matching sheer veil, the tour dates below her — to her Instagram. “Tickets for my 2023 tour go on sale Friday at 10am local time. Which show will we see you at?”

TWICE, “Moonlight Sunrise”
2021 saw K-pop darlings TWICE release their first-ever English single, “The Feels,” which notably charted at No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100 following its release. Now, the girl group is back with their second stab at an English release with “Moonlight Sunrise”; the track sees members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu demanding ’round the clock affection and attention from their lovers against a backdrop of bouncy synths and subtle trap beats (Dua Lipa & Megan Thee Stallion’s “Sweetest Pie” comes to mind). The girls also step more into their mature sides, delivering lines like “baby, let’s do it all night” with a certain cheekiness. – Starr Bowenbank
Caroline Polachek, “Welcome to My Island (George Daniel & Charli XCX Remix)”
Caroline Polacheck’s “Welcome to My Island” was a serene, at times bubbly, look into isolation, but with the newly released George Daniel (The 1975) and Charli XCX remix of the track, the isolation turns into an all-out dance party filled to the brim with rave-ready instrumentation. Charli spits on the track, asserting her relationship demands, sexual prowess and love for expensive, luxury goods while Polachek’s pitched-up vocals add another dash of dopamine. – S. Bowenbank
Eli Smart, “Done Me”
This breezy, whistling tune from newcomer Eli Smart is a refreshing take on beachy pop-rock, as he repeatedly questions, “What have you done to me?” But with production this catchy and lighthearted, it seems he’ll recover just fine. As the Hawaii-born singer-songwriter said in a statement, “The tune came very naturally, and we just danced around my room … it gave us a version of the sunshine we were yearning for.” — Lyndsey Havens
Raine, “Never Tell”
“Never Tell” is just as intriguing as its maker; little is known of emerging singer-songwriter Raine, other than her age (19) and home base (Los Angeles). The single plays out like a colorful and winding staircase, introducing new tempos and beats at every turn. All the while, Raine’s crisp and inviting voice is what guides listeners along — even through the sudden pauses — ensuring no one will get lost on the unexpected journey that is “Never Tell.” — L. Havens
Ashley Kutcher, “Everyone and No One”
Baltimore singer-songwriter Ashley Kutcher deploys the titular phrase of her new midtempo ballad in the lynchpin line “Am I the one you want when everyone and no one’s watching?” — a question that betrays an uncertainty in her partner during loud and quiet moments. Kutcher navigates the situation with an open heart and sense of pace, her voice growing more commanding as the song (which follows her promising 2022 EP Survive My Own Mind) engrosses the listener. – Jason Lipshutz
Malady, “Pressure Builds”
After opening for Wet Leg last year, London quartet Malady hope to enjoy a breakout year of their own with debut EP All Pressure, No Diamonds, out next month. They’re off to a strong start with “Pressure Builds,” a woozy, shuffling alt-pop track with fuzzed-out guitar sparring with vocal hooks that sound primed for packed clubs; there are a lot of whirring details, especially in the song’s back half, which suggests a bevy of ideas to be presented on Malady’s upcoming project. – J. Lipshutz
Girl Scout, “Weirdo”
As the world shut down due to the pandemic in 2020, Girl Scout singer-guitarist Emma Jansson was working at a grocery store, trying to understand adjustments in social interactions and generally feeling pretty strange about everything. “Weirdo” captures that anxiety within a crisp indie-pop shrug, as the intriguing Swedish group makes a declarative statement about an abnormal time and comes up with one of their best tracks to date. – J. Lipshutz
Alison Goldfrapp & Claptone, “Digging Deeper”
“Everything has changed,” Alison Goldfrapp open her new Claptone collaboration, “Digging Deeper.” If the longtime member of synth-pop duo Goldfrapp is thinking about unleashing more work as a solo artist, this kinetic new single is a strong first step: “Digging Deeper” is designed for dance floor euphoria and delivers a drop that needs to soundtrack your next treadmill sprint. – J. Lipshutz
Brye, “Diet Culture”
A sharp arrow aimed at unfair and narrow body standards in society, Brye’s “Diet Culture” is an indie pop confection about not just loving yourself but loving the way you look, too. Over bubbling syncopation and unusual string flourishes, the Chicago singer-songwriter defiantly tells off anyone who would dare “look at me with pity” because they’re “afraid to gain a pound or two.” – Joe Lynch
Overcoats, “Never Let You Go”
Ahead of their April 7 album Winner, Overcoats share “Never Let You Go,” a beguiling meditation on the way you sometimes feel an increased attraction and dependency in the midst of a breakup. But even if the topic is bittersweet, the single is an irresistible, tightly woven slice of moody pop elevated by the NYC duo’s gorgeous harmonizing and a shimmering piano solo. – J. Lynch
