Springfield Police are working to identify the remains of a body found on Monday.
Officers uncovered the remains on South Lone Pine Avenue in southeast Springfield.
According to reports, some within the department believe it could be the remains of missing Springfield resident Anatoli Dvorschi.
Dvorschi has been missing since September 25th, when a silver alert was put out for the 71-year-old.
Police will release the identity of the remains once they can be confirmed.
