A Morgan County man is facing charges in the death of a child in a one-vehicle crash over the weekend.
The Highway Patrol says 40 year old Larry Lunnin of Rocky Mount ran his jeep off Route W, struck a sign and overturned.
His three year-old son died in the crash.
Lunnin faces charges of second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, failing to secure a child in a child restraint, and two counts of of child abduction, for not turning his children over to his wife, when he lost custody of them in March.
When you watched the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards back on Aug. 28, were you wondering why the cameraman decided to use so many wide shots during Måneskin‘s performance of “Supermodel”? A lot of fans assumed it was because of frontman Damiano David’s barely there black leather chaps that exposed his backside — and that might have been part of it, but there was another, even racier outfit in the band.
Bassist Victoria De Angelis was originally wearing a one-armed blouse with a pasty covering an exposed breast, but during the performance, her sleeve slipped down, uncovering her other breast. Ever the rock star, De Angelis kept playing, even going out into the crowd in her newly topless look.
Now, MTV has uploaded a new edit of the performance that shows much more of the Italian rockers than the broadcast did. The new video is touted as a “restored” performance and even “uncensored” in a press release, but De Angelis’ wardrobe malfunction is still blurred out in the clip. Thankfully, we can now see just how much fun the band was having with their dancers and the crowd in the more close-up edit. In Billboard‘s ranking of all 13 VMAs performances, “Supermodel” landed at No. 4.
MTV shared the video on Instagram with the caption: “Blessed to share @maneskinofficial’s #VMAs performance in all their glory – the way we couldn’t on TV. … Thanks for being supermodels and superstars, my loves.”
Måneskin’s VMA night began when they won the very first prize during the preshow — best alternative video for “Be My Slave” — and became the first Italian artists to win a Moon Person too. Next up, the band’s North American tour begins on Halloween in Seattle and wraps up Dec. 16 in Las Vegas. Find dates here.
Camilo has a knack for writing songs that instantly become earworms, without sacrificing good lyricism and depth. The songs on his new album, De Adentro Pa Afuera, are no exception. On the new album, released Tuesday (Sept. 6), the Colombian singer-songwriter allows each song to breathe lyrically and sonically, putting listeners on a roller coaster of emotions with each track.
The wide-ranging sounds of the album, which can go from urban pop to banda and cumbia villera, also keep fans on the edge of their seat wondering what the next song will sound like, and then being pleasantly surprised with how different each one is, making Camilo one of the most exciting artists in Latin music today.
De Adentro Pa Afuera kicks off with “Aeropuerto,” a soft pop anthem that puts Camilo’s romanticism on full display. The album then picks up rhythmically, transitioning to a bachata featuring Camila Cabello. Other notable collabs include Myke Towers and previously released team-ups with Grupo Firme, Nicki Nicole and Alejandro Sanz.
For this new album, Camilo looked inward as he awaited the arrival of his baby girl, Índigo — his first child with his wife, fellow artist Evaluna Montaner. “That process of waiting for Índigo’s arrival inspired me to look inward and to close doors. It became a process of giving birth times two (baby and album). I am a completely different person now,” Camilo previously told Billboard. “My last album, Mis Manos, found a Camilo that started believing in who he was. In this new album, it’s a Camilo that is releasing everything.”
Stream the entire album here and below, the Billboard Latin editors recommend six essential tracks on De Adentro Pa Afuera:
“Bebiendo Sola” ft. Myke Towers
If there’s any hip-hop artist who can perfectly lace his vocals with pop music it’s Myke Towers, and this collaboration is proof of that. In “Bebiendo Sola,” Camilo reeled in the Puerto Rican artist to tell the story of a girl who doesn’t believe in love anymore and is out and about, drinking alone and hanging out by herself. In true fairy tale fashion, Camilo and Myke tap their inner prince charming and promise to capture the lady’s heart and not leave her side. Most notably, the pop track is backed by a Mellotron sound (keyboard-meets-orchestra) giving off a soothing melody a la “Strawberry Fields Forever” by The Beatles.
“Ambulancia” ft. Camila Cabello
This flirty slow-tempo bachata marks the first collaboration between the Cuban-American singer and Camilo. It narrates the story of a connection that cannot be explained, the ones that are pure magic and magnetic. Moreover, it perfectly combines Camilo’s melodic vocals with Camila’s raspy voice. “I had turned off my heart, but when he saw you alone, he decided to turn back on,” she sings in a verse.
“Alaska” ft. Grupo Firme
Name a better duo than Camilo and Grupo Firme … we’ll wait. This highly-anticipated collaboration did not disappoint and instantly became a banda anthem has been soundtracking heartbreaks since it dropped in August. Powered by traditional banda instruments such as the tuba and accordion, “Alaska” is Camilo’s second time experimenting with the genre after his norteña track with Los Dos Carnales released in 2021. In this track, the sound is just as fun as the song’s lyrics, which are a play on words about drinking your sorrows away.
“Pegao”
A modern-day cumbia villera but make it pop with intense synthesizer sound effects and keyboards. In “Pegao,” penned by Camilo, Edgar Barrera, and Andrés Castro, the Colombian artist reflects the happiness he’s living as a first-time father, becoming his first song after the birth of his and wife Evaluna’s baby, Indigo. The lyrics cleverly describe his desire to be permanently attached (pegao) to his newborn daughter. The song earned him his third No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart (dated Aug. 13), and his first champ on a lead role, unaccompanied by any other act.
“NASA” ft. Alejandro Sanz
The collaboration of his dreams is presented in this ballad with flamenco flairs and classical instrumentation. Its deep and honest lyrics are carried by the strings of an electric guitar where Camilo and Sanz meet vocally to sing in a subtle way to jealousy. The most honest form of asking someone for forgiveness for overthinking or imagining things that haven’t happened.
“Naturaleza” ft. Nicki Nicole
Camilo and Nicki Nicole embrace individuality in “Naturaleza,” a hypnotizing head-bobbing pop song fused with a subtle reggaeton drum beat. The beauty of the track lies within the message of its lyrics, which highlight the importance of living our authentic lives and taking pride in who we are. “I think I see life differently, because they call me crazy frequently,” the Argentine star starts off the song. “Dale, all is fair in this party until the sun rises. We are real. Only instinct, like animals,” they both sing in the chorus.
Authorities are investigating after a shooting incident at a trailer park in southwest Springfield.
Officers responded to the area of South Golden Avenue at Forest Cove South mobile home park.
According to witnesses, an argument began at the trailer park when a woman nearby fired shots into the air.

Steve Lacy‘s “Bad Habit” leads all five streaming-, airplay- and sales-based rankings dated Sept. 10.
The track rules Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Hot Alternative Songs for a second week each, while the Sept. 10 surveys mark the single’s coronation on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs.
In the Aug. 26-Sept. 1 tracking week, “Habit” earned 27.5 million radio audience impressions (up 18%) and 20.3 million official U.S. streams (down 2%) and sold 1,000 downloads (up 6%), according to Luminate.
No song previously presided over all five tallies, simultaneously or at all. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs began as an all-encompassing genre song chart in 1958, while Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs followed in 2009 and Hot R&B Songs in 2012. The most recent entrant, Hot Alternative Songs, was created in 2020. (The first four charts adopted the same multi-metric methodology as the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 in October 2012, upon the Hot R&B Songs list’s launch; Hot Alternative Songs employs the same formula.)
“Habit” continues to blossom into a multi-radio-format hit as well. It breaks into the top 10 of Pop Airplay (11-10) and rises 27-19 on Adult Alternative Airplay, 20-19 on Rhythmic Airplay and 33-28 on Adult Pop Airplay. Additionally, it’s bubbling under Alternative Airplay and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.
Gemini Rights, from which “Habit” is the lead single, ranks at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 with 23,000 equivalent album units earned. It has earned 196,000 units to date. It debuted at its No. 7 best on the chart dated July 30.
Megan Hilty — former star of the NBC musical drama Smash and Wicked on Broadway — is grieving the deaths of three family members. On Sunday, Hilty’s sister Lauren, her brother-in-law Ross Mickel and their child Remy died in a plane crash in Seattle.
The crash occurred on Seattle’s Mutiny Bay and the flight contained seven other passengers. The names of the victims in the crash were released by the United States Coast Guard on Tuesday (Sept. 6), where it was revealed that Lauren, Ross and Remy were among the passengers. Lauren was pregnant with a baby boy, her and Mickel’s second child.
The Hilty family issued a statement to NBC’s Seattle affiliate KING 5 regarding the loss of their family members and asked the public for their privacy during this time.
“We are deeply saddened and beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved Ross Mickel, Lauren Hilty, Remy and their unborn baby boy, Luca. Our collective grief is unimaginable. They were a bright and shining light in the lives of everyone who knew them. Although their time with us was too short, we will carry their legacy forward,” the statement read. “We want to thank all the first responders, emergency service agencies of Whidbey Island, Island County, the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI), and the private citizens who participated in the search and rescue efforts following the crash. The enormous outpouring and support we have received from our friends, family, and the public has been overwhelming. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who also lost loved ones on-board. At this difficult time, we are requesting that our privacy be respected as we grieve the loss of our family members.”
Billboard has reached out to Megan Hilty’s rep for comment.
In 2016, Hilty was nominated for a Tony for best featured actress in a play thank to her role in Noises Off.
After ending his sold-out concert abruptly at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday because he lost his voice, The Weeknd is officially on the mend and ready to keep his show on the road.
The Canadian singer updated his fans Tuesday (Sept. 6) via Instagram with the good news of his recovery.
“doctor says my voice is safe and with rest i’ll be solid and able to bring the show my TORONTO fans are waiting for,” he wrote in the caption. “LA date is being worked out soon. thank you SO much for all the love and understanding that’s come my way. i love you all so much… XO.”
The Weeknd first broke the news of losing his voice in the middle of his performance for “Can’t Feel My Face.” “I can’t give you the concert I want to give you. I’m going to make sure everyone’s good, gets your money back, and I’ll do a show real soon for you guys, but I wanted to come out and personally apologize and not tweet it or Instagram it,” he said. “I wanted you guys to know that I can’t give you what I want to give you. I apologize. I’m so sorry.”
Later, the dispirited singer voiced his sadness on Twitter, saying: “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped.” The day before his second performance, The Weeknd was brilliant, as he executed a commanding set and received high marks.
The Weeknd will conclude the first leg of his After Hours The Dawn Tour later this month in Canada at Rogers Centre after having to cancel his first scheduled concert there in July due to a networking issue. Fans can catch the “Feel It Coming” singer back in action on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.
Josh Groban: singer, actor and demon barber of Fleet Street. As announced Tuesday (Sept. 6), a revival of Stephen Sondeheim’s Sweeney Todd will open on Broadway next spring, starring Groban in the role of its title character.
Also starring Annaleigh Ashford as Mrs. Lovett, the Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street revival will be overseen by two of the men behind Hamilton: director Thomas Kail and producer Jeffrey Sellerdirector. Following a run of preview shows starting Feb. 26, the musical will officially open on March 23 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
The production will serve as a Broadway comeback of sorts for both Groban and the musical itself. The former hasn’t performed on Broadway since his debut in 2016, when he starred in the musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812; the latter hasn’t been revived since Patti Lupone and Michael Cerveris starred in a 2005 production that had the actors play instruments in place of a traditional orchestra, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This time, Sweeney Todd will use a 26-person orchestra, something that hasn’t been done since the show originally debuted in 1979. Alex Lacamoire will work on the production as music supervisor and Steven Hoggett will choreograph.
Groban celebrated the news by posting a teaser video for the production on Instagram, which shows the musical’s title splashing across the screen in what looks like blood. “Attend The Tale,” he simply wrote in his caption.
Sweeney Todd, which is set in the 1800s and follows a murderer who works as a barber in London, is one of the most famed works put forth by Stephen Sondheim. It earned the composer the Tony for best original score and took home seven other Tony awards after it debuted in 1979.
