Springfield Police will be focusing their attention on traffic hot spots.
The Springfield Police Department will implement a national operation model called “Data-driven Approach to Crime and Traffic Safety.”
The program’s data shows high-visibility traffic enforcement can reduce traffic crashes and crime in the area.
Springfield Police plan to increase visibility at four hot spot intersections: Sunshine and Kansas Expressway, Kansas Expressway and Kearney, Kearney and Glenstone, Glenstone and Sunshine.
